Is it true that the Social Security card is changing?

The social security card is changing and one of the changes is in effect already and you may have seen this change. On the bottom of the card is an “issued date”. This represents the date the card was issued. If it is a replacement it will show the replacement date and not the original issue date. The second change that you will see later this year. The last name or surname will be put on a separate line.
