No worries with ATM deposits with Chase any longer.

JP Morgan Chase bank has just released a new feature for their ATM’s. No need for envelopes or deposit slips when making a deposit. When you now make a deposit the ATM reads each check or cash item. By reading each item then bank is able to print a receipt show the amount and items deposited. You can now verify the deposit on screen before completing a transaction and an image of the deposited item will appear on the deposit receipt.

Until now I would not of recommended a person or a business use an ATM to make a deposit. With the uncertainty of being able to prove the actual items deposit the banks have been able to deny disputed deposits. With this new feature I can now recommend the use of ATM’s for bank customer deposits.
